The SEND & Alternative Provision (AP) Strategy is to support children and young people with specialist educational needs and or disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25. For children and young people, with or without a diagnosis, recognising the wide range and diversity of our children and young people with SEND.

The SEND and AP Strategy 2025-2030 is at draft stage.

We have coproduced and engaged our new strategy with partners which has extended the ambition to transform our alternative provision in Calderdale.  Following our last strategy we reviewed the progress we had made to the existing outcomes with our families and this formed the starting point for our new strategy.  The SEND and AP board has been strengthened and monitors and oversees the partnerships priorities.
